And war goes on.

According to sources in Iran the US has lost two supply ships one of them out in the Indian Oceans. On a related note. The USS Gerald R Ford has gone dark. Hmmmm

Has this been verified yet?

After all, Iran might not be entirely unbiased in this...

If it does prove correct then lost how?

The Iranians have a navy - two in fact- including as far as known three former Russian attack-submarines. I.e. not missile-carriers but designed to sink other submarines, and surface ships.)

Loss of power on the ship may be by internal fault, of course. She is still "young", commissioned in 2017 with an expected service life of 50 years - unusually long for any ship - but that doesn't mean equipment working almost continually can't break down at only eight and a half years' age.

@ArishMell I heard a report a few minutes ago that the UK has given the ISA (Israeli States of America) permission to use it bases on Cyprus. Yet to be verified.

@hippyjoe1955 It may well do, if only as a NATO member, but that's not the same as becoming in involved in the fighting. Which I hope we don't do!

@ArishMell Well Iran is hitting the bases in the middle east because they are an operating base for American aircraft.

My MAGA friends on Facebook informed me that we’re not at war. If you think we’re at war, then you must have TDS. Trump simply took out evil and freed the Iranian people, and now they’re celebrating in the streets because of it. Another one laughed at me for saying we were at war and posted a video of said Iranians celebrating in the streets, saying, “Yeah, some war that is!”

And once again, you prove your dyslexia (or pretense thereof). 🙄

I posted my source in my previous comment to you.

@Thinkerbell Neither have you. Pot meet kettle.

@hippyjoe1955

Then you must have gone literally (as well as figuratively) blind.

It's going to become a war that will carry on for decades

@Thinkerbell Wrong question... you need to think how will the US will limit the war to the limits that it itself can actually bear it. Before you know it can turn into yet another Vietnam
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@val70

I have thought about it. I doubt that the US will send ground troops into Iran.

And not every Vietnam was a failure.

Korea was a success, at least partially... one only has to compare North and South Korea to understand that.

@Thinkerbell As I used Vietnam as a label for an outcome for the operation now, I did try rather to point to the way how the war in Vietnam went. The nationalists (I won't use communists because there's evidence that they weren't really in step with the Russians nor Chinese and would have made a deal with the Western Allies after World War Two) in Vietnam just took the punches and stayed at the rope till first the French and then the Americans were punch drunk. I'm afraid that it's happening again. If Trump wants the Revoluntionary Guard just come to the table again, or even that there's going to be an opposition in Iran to take over power ready and waiting, then he's on his own yet again. Just like he wants to replace income tax by tariffs. In the long run both can only break his administration
