Minnesota Somalis ‘demand’ reparations over ICE raids
It’s all about scamming for Minneapolis Somalis who are now demanding that reparations be paid out for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids carried out during Operation Metro Surge.
On Friday, activists with the far-left group Neighbors United held a news conference during which they denounced the efforts to enforce federal immigration law and called for “relief from the damages of ICE terror.”
The Somalis who spoke were barely coherent in English but clear in their ridiculous demands that they are owed for disruptions to business during the ICE operation.
Among the demands are free money to businesses making under $200,000, free rent and an official apology.
“In January alone, the City of Minneapolis estimates over $200 million in losses due to racist ICE terror, including $47 million in lost wages and $81 million in losses for small businesses. Governor Walz is proposing a meager $10M in loans to only those businesses who make over $200K a year. Because many of our businesses make less than $200k they are excluded them from eligibility,” Neighbors United states on its website.
“We demand that that the state dramatically expand its relief program with direct grants – not just loans – to immigrant, Black, and brown small businesses who lost income because of ICE terror, including businesses that make less than $200k annually,” the group said.

At publishing time, it was learned that NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani is delighted with the prospect that reparations might be paid to Somali businesses that were disrupted by ICE operations in Minnesota. "It was just outrageous that ICE should have interfered with honest Somali businesses like the Quality Learing Center. Fine establishments like that should get paid double for the stress caused them by ICE," said Mamdani, exclusive sources close to the matter disclosed.
