2 month old baby detained by ICE is having failing health

A mother tried getting help for her baby with no doctor on site plus the 2 month old baby has spent his life behind bars, she was met with a shrug and got told they couldn't do anything for her. It's actually known that ice got rid of the contract with a company to provide health, a detention facility chose not to. Not to mention the highly cruel detention of children in the first place.

You say Ice denied the baby care but the woman in the video says the baby was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.

@ron122 Rushed sounds like an emergency that could have been avoided and could have been life .threatening

@ron122 According to the child’s mother, Nicolás has bronchitis and was unresponsive at some point in the past several hours.

Despite the medical condition, Castro stated that Nicolás was released from a hospital around midnight on Tuesday.

“He has been sick, and they don’t have the medical capacity to treat him,” Castro said in the video. “His life is in danger.”

Castro also said that at one point, no doctor was available during the early morning hours when the baby needed medical attention.

The Frio County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to KSAT that the baby was transported to a hospital by facility staff at 10 p.m. Monday. The baby’s current condition is unknown.

@ron122 It's absolutely true that ice (stated in my post) ended a contract with a health agency that was supposed to provide care for their facilities, it was Texas I believe. The location of this facility is in Texas. I made a separate post about this a long time ago.

It's also absolutely true that the mother tried to get help with no doctor being on site at the time, also in my post. It literally says that in the news article in the video.

So do you not get the inadequate medical care part and that the infant had been sick for quite a long time or what are you having a hard time understanding here?

@SatanBurger But you said Ice refused the baby care. Ice runs the facility so it must have been Ice that called the ambulance. So, they did not refuse the baby care.

@ron122 The article literally stated that the baby at night was when they needed care and the mother was met with a shrug of the shoulders and told they didn't have a doctor at the time. How has the baby been sick all this time and the article said lack of care huh?

Figure it out.

@ron122 No doctor being in sight and met with a shrug was being refused care when it constituted an emergency. If the baby had been taken care of, why had the baby been sick for such a long time to begin with before that.

Furthermore, this is the same detention facility in which others have met similar fates and died. The facility has been under attack for immigrants dying before. This is literally being talked about right now.

This isn't rocket science, what are you having a hard time understanding?

@ron122 Every facility that has any type of prisoners for long periods of time must have doctors present 24/7. Given that this facility detain even very young children for very long times, this must be even more so.

They have no idea any medical requirements for children what so ever.

This even applies to schools BTW. There's always a registered nurse present. Asthma is common in children.

Even Guantanamo Bay detention camp has doctors present. One of the worst known detention camps.
