As a Belgian... I can tell you, that your ID-problem, has been solved over here years ago. From my perspective, the US is extremely backwards when it comes to this. But the same people that keep this problem going, are also the people that are now complaining about it so they can rig the elections in their favour. Funny how that works. 🤷♂

Voter ID helped the GOP beat Obama... It cut the vote for Obama by 5%. Even though there is no proof of voter fraud significant enough to get to a 5% number.

Voter-ID is a cool thing... if the governement just provides everyone with official Voter-ID. The USA made different choices amongst this, mainly because of a latent paranoia towards the Federal Governement. But now, the same people that used to be in a party against "big governement" and it's oversight... are asking for more oversight because it helps them rig the elections by sending people they don't like away from the voting boot. It's all really dumb, but somehwere there will be enough demented centrists that will say: "well that sounds reasonable", without ever giving it any deep thought.
