@Charity I know President Trump likes to claim his tariffs are making money for the US Treasury.

In a strictly mechanical sense he might be right, but whom does he think actually pays these taxes? He implies he believes they are paid by foreign countries' exporters or treasuries, but of course they are nothing of the sort.

So they are only circulating American money within America, but they can damage the producers by the price rises cutting the sales. That, complete with erratic setting and application, is a major factor in many countries creating new trade-agreements separate from the USA.

Regarding the Epstein files, I imagine Donald Trump would simply deny all and anything any of these six million pages of "evidence" might show he had any personal links to Epstein. I am not suggesting he may have been anywhere near Epstein and Maxwell's circle of sexual depravity; Epstein's separate circles of financial and political impropriety would be more likely. He probably does care about any links being found even if he denies caring, but only for himself. He would probably not care about anyone else implicated though, even if among his closest cliques.

I don't know if Trump is involved in this or not, but there certain business interests trying to take over Greenland by subversion. They court the few Greenlanders atttacted to the idea of being American instead of Danish or Greenlandian; but far more Greenlanders want either to stay as autonomous Danes or their country becoming independent.

Mr. Trump seems to talk as if Greenland is physically close to the USA, but it isn't of course. The nearest points of the two countries are well over 1000 miles apart. Russia is closer to US territory: only 70 miles from the Alaskan coast at nearest; but that entire NE region of Siberia is almost uninhabited and very remote.

I think the Greenland residents would lose far more than they gain by being subsumed into the USA. Similarly with the Canadians.

How will the Venezuelans benefit from US oil companies taking over their petroleum? If they do move in anyway. If the deposits are of low quality, difficult and expensive to extract and refine, as reported; would they be commercially viable to an American company?

Us Custom reports it collected $287 billion in tariffs and 2025, true or not I don't know but that's what they report. And his terrorist will be in and raised 1.6 to 2 trillion by 2035. Trump is a liar he knew/knows the American people would be paying the tariffs but he says what he needs to say and the majority of his supporters still believe him.

Trump appears to be a person who only cares about whether you obey him or not whether you support him or not.

Trump doesn't like to be spoken negative of, he is vengeful and vindictive / he loves praise / money / power to control / family, anything else is blowing in the wind. If a man cared about what the public / people thought of him There would not have been even before he became president in 2016 over 3,000 lawsuits against him....... Some people wrongly think the Epstein's files will take him down no those files are not. Even if the Democrats would try to impeach him again they would fail Epstein files is not enough....... Epstein was arrested in 2008 for the same thing, Trump's name was there then. 2019 Epstein arrested again Trump's name was there, where are the women who would testify against Trump? Even then impeachment would probably be like that of Bill Clinton, seriously doubt with the Republicans in control of the House and Senate Trump would be impeached as it was before.

Trump may not be trying to erect a hotel in Greenland at this point but everything he does has a business interest. Greenland has untapped natural resources. Plus over 80% of its people are considered high income, which would add sufficient tax revenue to the US if ever annexed and the majority of their ethnicity is to his liking. Greenland doesn't any part of the US.

Here along the Texas coast in the Gulf those oil refineries are especially for the type of crude oil coming from Venezuela. And when you have a country like Venezuela with the largest amount of crude oil and you already have in place refineries to handle that type of crude oil you'll be making money within no time.

@Charity Thankyou for the information about the oil. I'd not known the Texan and Gulf refineries are already capable of handling the heavier crude types.

Oh, everything Trump says is money-related somehow. Everything is a "deal" or transaction. Even back in 2016, when he came to the UK on a State Visit - I think he invited himself - he talked of wanting to buy Greenland and hinted at also wanting Britain's National Health Service. Prior to that most of we Britons knew of him only as some American property-speculator who was somehow allowed to destroy a 'Site of Special Scientific Interest (legally-protected land) in Scotland merely to build an exclusive golf-course and hotel.

I think he will come a cropper eventually, but it may be from his own Party eventually deciding he is a liability. He will have only himself to blame. Except of course he will blame everyone else.

I gather his, or his government's, handling of the US economy is fairly good; but it's his international actions that are the problem; based on a strange mixture of isolationism and expansionism, and larded with unpredictability.


I think I would trust that figure from US Customs. They would have no reason to give wrong figures, especially when it looks such a lot of money going to the US Treasury.


Would those women testify against Mr. Trump? Possibly not while he is President, but once his term ends presumably he will become just an oridnary US citizen; and with Epstein dead and Maxwell in prison assuming Trump does not "pardon" her to the point of release, he will be much weaker.

(Interesting word, "pardon". Ghislaine Maxwell wants the President to pardon her, but in doing so she is admitting her own guilt, and if he were to grant her wish - which I think unlikely - he would be confirming it. You can only pardon the guilty.)

American refineries were set up to handle the heavy crude that Canada was selling to the US from the Alberta Tar Sands Project. What the US is not set up to handle is the very high Bitumen and high sulphur content that is extracted from that heavy crude. Until fairly recently, those American refineries you make reference to where originally set up to refine sweet crude, not heavy crude. The problem is, the USA cannot get sweet crude which is why it modified it's existing refineries to handle the heavy, poor quality crude oil.

I too believe that US customs are giving fairly accurate numbers.

Trump lost the presidency in 2020 and no female came forth....... They use the words 1 of 4 survivors of the known females youths who met Trump at Epstein's testified in court and never said Trump had any sexual encounters with her ........... Now for anyone over 18 unless it could be proven rape or them being drugged would have no win in court, it would be said any sexual encounters were dual consent........ But then we never know it took over 20-30 years for Cosby's doing to come out, and there is Harvey Weinstein. Took a few years for P Diddy's exploits to come out but if you notice they only seem to be after the head / heads and not the participants, Trump would have been a participant.

Since Maxwell has been found guilty, she can receive a pardon because a jury of her peers found her guilty would be the reason The pardon would be given. And if the US can get him out of office in 2026 if he was going to give a pardon to Maxwell that would be the time frame he would do it, in my opinion and I think he will.
