Why is this important? A couple of reasons. First, because he is no mathematical or economic genius. But second and more important, he has never learned the importance of business relationships and keeping faith with deals you made yesterday, so people will trust you and deal in good faith again. Thats why none of the deals he makes stick. And why none of the promises he is getting from anyone else are worth anything..😷

Tariffs reduce supply and protect domestic producers by keeping prices high. A folly that is ultimately paid for by the consumer.
