Harris Won 19 States in 2024, 17 Have No Voter ID Law

The surprising detail is that Harris was only able to win two states with ID requirements to vote: Rhode Island and New Hampshire, the latter by a small margin of four points despite being blue-leaning.

And you wonder why demonocrats fight so hard to get rid of voter ID laws....

So all of the 31 states Trump carried required voter ID? Asking for a friend.

@sunsporter1649 Only 14 states require a photo ID (10) or non-photo ID (4) in order to vote at the polling place. Another 14 require photo or other ID, but not at the polling place. Twelve, plus the District of Columbia, do not require either. Of the latter Trump won Nevada and split Maine (which divides their electoral votes proportionately depending upon popular vote). Similarly, Harris two 2 of Nebraska's 5 electoral votes; a state that requires ID but not at the polling place.

So by my math, Trump took 1.5 states that require no ID and 14 where there is no strict ID requirement as regards location, time, or type.
