You cannot argue with MAGA

They demand evidence…they call your sources biased.
You provide primary sources…they claim they’re doctored.
You show them video…they claim it’s out of context.
You provide context…they claim it’s cherry-picked.

That’s not debate. It’s a systematic refusal on their party to allow reality to infiltrate their mythology. You don’t argue facts…you argue whether facts exist.

And to finish, they’ll claim this post describes libs. 😂

You launched into your rant by ignoring most of this. It's all focused your own version of "what aboutism". I really don't care if you happen to be a Dem or a lib, or if you think your side is innocent of all sin. If that's what you believe make your own case. My point was about the harm and fallacies of extremism.

And don't try to tell where I stand on anything. Ask.

@GuiltyBiStander I didn't ignore anything. I read your entire comment. You said extremists on both sides were beyond reason. And while that is a true statement, it is nearly always used to shut down the conversation. I talk about how the Republican Party led by Trump and the Heritage Foundation are trying to make it illegal for trans people to tell their stories, and someone invariably pokes their little nose in to tell me about how that is equally as bad as my position that the government shouldn't be murdering citizens and rounding people up in concentration camps.

Fine. Where do you stand on the current administration's desire to round up folks like us in concentration camps and make it illegal for us to tell our stories? Do you feel that's the equivalent of not wanting the current administration to unalive citizens and take away our healthcare?

I was including you in the phrase "people like us". I do my research when I'm debating people. I check their profile pictures and see what I can learn about them. And what I learned about you is that you are in the same boat as me and every other member of the LGBTQ in this country.
