Seems like Russia is thanking the U.S. to draw NATO Troops away from tensions in Ukraine, but hates it at the same time when the U.S. takes Greenland away from China's and Russia's Hands
Putin should keep his side of the bargain this time.

Just about ever NATO nation now has troops on the ground in Greenland. And the French are also talking up cutting military purchase ties on equipment and taking NATOs business elsewhere. Watch this change Trumps tune as armaments corporations lose business, tens of $Billions at a time...Meanwhile. Canada reminds Trump he is going to have a whole northern border to defend if he picks a fight with Greenland..I expect the subject to go very quiet now.. room on the front page for Epstein again..😷

Do you have a Nobel Prize I can have as well? I didn't get one but I should have been awarded at least one by now.

Trump is out of his mind - he wants to be like Putin so bad he's just going around taking countries or threatening to take like Putin.

I have to disagree with your view. Kamala, to me, was an obvious bad choice. I won't go into the reasons why I thought so. Trump is a disappointment to me because he did not measure up to his "Superman" persona and smash through the bureaucratic bullshit stifling the country and robbing it of its wealth. I knew Trump wasn't as smart as me and none of my grasp of statecraft. All he has is my instinctive impulse that is immune to ideological claptrap. He started his term in great form right up till Musk got thrown out. I was waiting for DOGE to take the Pentagon apart the way he uncovered the waste in USAID and Social Security. Trump's foreign policy moves are asinine and he did not stop US involvement in foreign wars. Still, he managed to scuttle NATO and snuffed out the Ukraine war. In my opinion, that alone deserves the Peace Prize. I was told that, with regard to the Middle East, his hands are tied and the safety of his family is at stake if he did not do as he is told. I would expect him to sacrifice his life for his country as the patriot he posed as in his election rallies. I saw in him a revolutionary like Che Guevara and Uncle Ho fighting for his country. Wouldn't that be great?
Your country? Australia? You guys are as much in irons as we are with regard to being citizens of democracy. Your saving grace is that your politicians are nowhere as corrupted as ours.
We have no disagreement with how you see the system. So lets get down to cases.. Trump V Harris. Was Kamala a good option? Probably not.. Particularly how she was packaged. Maybe if she has been properly groomed and promoted from day one as Bidens successor after one term. But we will never know.. But was she the least worst option? In my view a thousand times Yes..

However, Americans have the option of staying home, and a lot of them did. Which clinched it. In my country voting is compulsory. So you have to show up to vote. I wont go into how much better that would make the US system in itself.

@sree251 Thank you for at least acknowledging that last..Although we have a couple who are very accommodating to major donors. However we have election funding laws and other things tied to how we vote that keep the playing field close to level. Still a few minor gerrymanders of course. I would say what we do have is more functional freedom than America. We have gun laws. So we are close to free of the fear of not sending our kids to school or going to the movies or the mall and wondering if we will ever see them again. When there is a mass shooting here. Its news for month. As the one we had this year was and will continue to me.. And people do something about it without carrying a gun. We are free to have our kids educated and not condemn them to ignorance, if they have potential.. We are free to have our health maintained without having to sell the house or declare bankruptcy and our women are free to make difficult choices about their own bodies without the courts or anyone else stopping them.. Is it perfect? No.. But given a choice i will take my freedoms with a touch of responsibility to others, over yours..

The USA actually has no say in the matter of what Greenland does or doesn't do. I do know that the Danish government has given orders to the Danish Army who were sent over to Greenland, to kill any Americans on site who venture onto Greenland for the express purpose of annexation.
Oh gee, I wonder if Donald Trump will be the one carrying the yankee flag leading the pack from the American landing vessels onto the beaches? I would love to be there with my cellphone camera making a video of the USA pretending to be a war machine!

Defense of Greenland territory needs only satellite surveillance. Detection of any presence of incursion will trigger response from bases in Greenland.
Greenland , 16.000 km shore line , you land on the beach and than what ? no roads , rocks and ice. No deep water ports , sea water is only free from ice for 3 months a year.

In the case of Greenland, he is just posturing. He is probably chuckling to himself that Denmark takes him seriously. Trump can send troops to Greenland because he is allowed to do so based on existing NATO defense structuring.
There is no reason for attacking the US just because Trump can sent troops to Greenland. Denmark can demand NATO response as a party to the alliance. The response would not be military one but a vote to kick the US out of the alliance. Then, Trump will have to withdraw US presence from Greenland or declare war. Trump cannot do that without Congress approval. I doubt Trump has the balls to take matters that far.
True.
Demented Don, always chickens out.

He is so senile he's forgotten it was HIM who made the demand, based on nothing. So remaining NATO will be bound to attack the US, not the other way round.

China and Russia are happy to "pay to play" with Greenland. Trump is the greedy bastard who wants to control it all.
True.
