It is really sad what is happening in the US.

I.C.E are murdering people with the backing of the President of the United States.
There seems to be no way to stop the President doing as he wishes.
I would like to see the journalists at his "propaganda" press conferences call him out on his malevolence.
Someone needs to say to him, or his press secretary, Stop murdering US citizens.
Though, should anyone ever attempt that, they would be promptly removed from the room, probably charged for something, be fired by their employer and have their life destroyed.
What a parlous state of affairs. 🙁

Nonsense.

In the US, if you knowingly interfere with a Federal Law Enforcement agency, you run the risk of being arrested or worse.

She tried to run over an officer attempting to pull her out of the car. She disobeyed a lawful order, and took off. Law officers are trained to use deadly force in situations like this.

Please stop promoting false narratives because you are ignorant of US laws and customs.

@SumKindaMunster they have already lied about this very thing when they started shooting at a family in a car a few months ago. If this was being done when biden was the puppet in charge you would, rightly, be spitting feathers

No idea what you are talking about. Provide a source or shut up about it.

I would be mad if a protestor was accidentally killed while interfering with ICE removing illegal immigrants?

Not at all, you don't know me. Don't tell me what I think, I tell you. 🤨

@SumKindaMunster you better go get your eyes checked and wipe the orange goo from your chin

@SumKindaMunster show me in the videos where even one ICE agent was knocked down…
gol979 · 46-50, M
@trollslayer whats the point in engaging. Its in your face obvious that the enforcement arm(s) of the government are now overtly against normal people, at home and abroad, all at the behest of the most powerful corporatioins, institutions and people.

Statists, on both sides, are spoon fed narratives/lies that "justify" authoritarianism and they just accept it and it becomes their "own" thoughts. Blind loyalty to a political party, who have a long history of being massive con artists. Its beyond baffling.

@gol979 Yeah well while you are sitting on your high horse looking down on everyone waiting for that perfect moment and that perfect leader the world has passed you by.

Does having this superior attitude gain you anything? Other than feeling superior?

Have you ever agreed with a political movement or candidate in your entire life?

@SumKindaMunster A Draconian law ?? Anyone deprived of liberty must be treated with humanity and with respect for the inherent dignity of the human person.

@ShenaniganFoodie That's your opinion. Not sure how your lofty ideal applies here.

Nonsense. The shooter was not in the path of the vehicle. Liar!

Furthermore, where was this convenient concern for officers on January 6, 2021?

@Theyitis Educate yourself on American laws.

To determine if an officer’s actions were objectively reasonable, courts analyze the “totality of the circumstances” using three factors established in Graham v. Connor.

The first factor is the severity of the crime the officer believed the suspect had committed. A more serious and violent crime can weigh in favor of justifying a higher level of force. For instance, confronting a suspect believed to have just committed an armed robbery is viewed differently than one involving a minor traffic infraction.

The second, and most important, factor in deadly force cases is whether the suspect posed an immediate threat to the safety of the officer or others. This is the central question when a suspect is armed. The presence of a weapon is a powerful indicator of a threat, and the officer’s belief that the suspect could use it is a primary justification for using deadly force.

The final factor is whether the suspect was actively resisting arrest or attempting to escape. A suspect who is actively fighting with an officer or trying to flee from a violent crime scene can be seen as continuing to pose a threat. This resistance or flight can contribute to the justification for using force to subdue them.

@SumKindaMunster first factor: was she being charged with a crime? Did an officer ever tell her she is under arrest?

Second factor - debatable. A car can be a weapon. But at 1mph when the officer clearly had time to jump out of the way(and did and remained on his feet)? His safety was best served by moving out of the way, not by shooting the driver. If I am in the path of two tons of moving steel, shooting the driver won’t save me.

Third factor - was she participating in a violent crime such that was likely to commit other acts of violence if she fled? No. The only person, at all, whose safety was at all threatened was the one officer (not life, because the position and direction and her car was not such that it would have killed him).

One thing to consider is that the officer may have acted from fear or previous trauma and did not have time to make a rational decision. I think it is more likely that he already had his gun ready preparing to point it at her to prevent her from driving away, and when the car moved forward he pulled the trigger.

An armed, masked law enforcement officer gives you an order, and you wanna have a debate about whether or not its a legitimate command?

I URGE you for the sake of you and your family to comply if you are ever pulled over or stopped by a law enforcement officer. You can debate the legality of it later with a lawyer.

Second factor - debatable
Well if you feel that way, you must let the appropriate authorities make that decision. It isn't yours to make.

Third factor - was she participating in a violent crime such that was likely to commit other acts of violence if she fled? You don't know that. You only know what you viewed in the video. Reports from the officers indicate she was harassing them repeatedly. Maybe the crime occurred before the video.

@SumKindaMunster agree 100% with your first point, and when faced with such situations that is what I have done. And me, as a father of young children, would never intentionally go near an area swarmed by ICE where I presume poop is going down. That’s common sense safety. And I would like to see evidence that the woman was previously harassing them. But I so far have heard no more specifics than that.
