@MarkPaul Yeah, you never want to take too many caffeine products before working out.

I usually have two cups of coffee after lunch which I eat about an hour or so before I
go to the gym.

@DogMan I mean, it's impressive when you see the lifting and the results from those that take the pre-workouts and not going to lie, I've been offered and tempted, but I don't know... it just seems like it defeats the purpose (at least my purpose) for working out. As you know, I get discouraged because my progress is so slow, but I'm not sure I want to share credit for fast gains with the drugs or deny it had anything to do with it.

@MarkPaul If you don't need the energy, don't take it. If you are hitting each muscle group
twice a week, and getting enough protein, the gains will come.

Do you take Creatine? It is something that everyone should take, especially old dudes like
me. Not only for the muscles, but also the brain. Thousands of studies have been done on it.
