How Is The US Going to Assume Leadership in Venezuela

Anyone have any ideas? Is there a viable opposition group that can take over? Is trump going to fly in cronies and install them? Will they meet resistance. There may be some work left to do there before we're in charge.

There is an opposition government in exile that is widely considered to have won the 2024 election. Naturally Trump has made no reference to Edmundo Gonzalez or Maria Corina Machado, the woman that pipped him to the post for the Nobel Peace Prize.

@SunshineGirl It sounds like the people might be in favor of her. But if you read some of the reports it doesn't seem like trump is to high on her. It might get interesting if looks like the choice and he opposes her. Will he kidnap her too if she's elected?

@MoveAlong It's already a done deal. Trump will ensure Maduro's second-in-command will be sworn in. There's no regime change; it's simply more of the same for ordinary Venezuelans, and oil for Trump.
