Nobody joins a cult willingly. "The base" thinks they joined a great movement.

Marjorie Taylor-Greene has just learned she was in a cult.

But, to her credit, she left it alive without anyone's help.

There's hope that Lauren Boebert might be next.

What's Susan Collins' excuse for supporting the leader of the cult?

@beckyromero All things being equal, I think Marjorie Taylor-Greene is more of a threat now than before. Still, despite her joy when others were getting death threats, I feel sorry for her in how fast "the diehard base" turned on her for supporting getting the Epstein Files released. It reminds me of those newer immigrants who voted for Pedophile Defender Cry-Baby-trump and were convinced they would be exempt from ICE raids... until they weren't. Or, the farmers who thought Daddy Pedophile Defender Cry-Baby-trump would protect them until he decided it was more in his self-interests to protect Argentina farmers. Or, rural voters who forgot they actually use rural hospitals, Medicaid, and SNAP.

@MarkPaul Thank you for this reasoned discourse - unfortunately rare here.

@newjaninev2 Oh, our pleasure.
Ever hear of the Heaven's Gate Cult?

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays Yes. Ever see their "beam up" exit interviews? They were hardly willing participants. But they all thought they were part of some great movement even after lining up to get castrated and get gender-free haircuts.
