Why ask the Dems? They are trying to get the party in power to provide food and medical care that was removed from the budget.

@Mountainlady16 no they are really not. They have asked for modifications, the standard procedures in the Senate. Once the SNAP funds and ACA funds are put back in, then they can vote and then the bill goes into joint negotiations between the house and Senate in hopes of a compromise that doesn't hurt people. That is how it is supposed to work. That is why the Senate has stricter rules for passage of a bill. It protects the minority from a majority that runs amuck.
