Will the rest of the world put sanctions on the United States after Trump goes behind congress's back to murder all the Venezuelans?

I mean that's what he's saying he's going to do so it makes me wonder if the UN will get involved if things get rough.

If anyone was actually serious about their rhetoric they should. But it won't happen.

Hell I don't even trust the rest of the west to do anything if Trump tried to annex Canada.

That being said I believe sanctions are very straightforwardly crimes against humanity. It is collective punishment which is explicitly banned by the Nuremberg Accords.

At least Madeline Albright was honest that starving civilians (or in the case of countries like Russia trying) is the point.
@SatanBurger So basically you will have more grunts that are out of control and the people who would keep them in line are being forced out or are just leaving on their own.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Just for the fact Trump even has enough support to do what he does is why I no longer believe in our system as a whole. People shouldn't even entertain the idea.

Now that I think about it though sanctions are bad and I didn't think about the after effects on civilians. It's not like I have any power, I was only entertaining a hypothetical as possible solutions.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow That's pretty scary. It makes me wonder of what's to come with our military

Some countries will. But all countries that produce things covet our market

@SatanBurger we have shown over the past 3 decades you do not need to be a producer/ exporting nation to be successful . We build nothing except weapons these days .

The rest of the world doesnt have to put sanctions on America. It simply has to demand payment for goods in something other than $US, forcing america to purchase Euros or maybe chinese Yuan, or even gold in exchange for what it buys.. Watch the value of the $US tank within weeks..😷
No, the rest are simply finding ways around the USA and its vassals. Bilateral trade,
BRICS, SCO, ASEAN... Etc.

@MoveAlong I guess when it comes to the US sanctioning another nations it greatly works. Look at Russia and Iran 😅
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@MoveAlong nah we lost that power with the policies Trump has installed. We're going to be losing money and our power will be gone. There's no way. We're weak right now.

@SatanBurger But if you guys do go to war with Venezuela don't expect us to help 😅
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@BritishFailedAesthetic I don't want people to help, that's why i suggested sanctioning. I dunno what else to do. Personally Trump should just be fired as president and America should hold an election like they normally would if this were a regular election.

Would the UN win against America 🤔🤔🤔

I doubt it 🤪🤪🤪

@BigGuy2 1. “Democrats invented racial slavery.”

That’s historically false. Racialized slavery long predates the modern Democratic Party (founded in the 1820s). The racial element of slavery developed in the 15th–17th centuries when European empires justified the enslavement of Africans using race as a marker of inferiority.

That ideology laid the foundation for modern racism, not U.S. party politics centuries later.

2. “Every group suffered slavery, so stop focusing on Black slavery.”

While true that slavery existed in many cultures, the transatlantic slave trade was uniquely racialized and intergenerational, targeting Africans explicitly because of skin color and creating systems that persisted for centuries. Recognizing that isn’t “hijacking” it’s being accurate about which form of slavery shaped the modern world.

3. “Blacks and Arabs created slavery.”

No group “created” slavery. The oldest recorded examples come from ancient Mesopotamia, Greece, Rome, China, and elsewhere, long before any African or Arab empires existed

4. “Quinine let us take slaves ourselves.”

Quinine helped Europeans survive tropical disease during colonial conquest centuries later, but the slave trade thrived long before quinine was isolated (it was first extracted in 1820 — the British abolished their slave trade in 1807).

The timeline alone disproves that claim.

5. “No modern slavery in the West.”

False. Modern slavery includes human trafficking, forced labor, and sexual exploitation, which exist in every region, including Western nations. The U.S., U.K., and EU have all prosecuted cases in recent years.

@SatanBurger NOPE, they didn't, enslavement of all ethnic minorities stems from Economics, not along racial lines, never has been until the Democrats changed that, it has always been an Economic issue, ask Thomas Sewell 🙄🙄🙄

It wasn't Centuries later, but the point i'm making there is, is that the Blacks were fully complicit in the Slave trade because Westerners didn't go into the interior due to fears of catching Malaria, it was when Quinine was developed for Westerners as a remedy to Malaria, that they started taking slaves themselves, cutting out the middleman, obviously you haven't heard the famous interaction with the King of Dahoma and the British Empire

"Do whatever you want with us, but leave my Slave Trade alone" - he was earning £250,000 per year from it and that's a late 1700's figure

What you'll find is that it was the Arabs, so what was known as Mesopotamia etc etc

Actually read what i'm saying rather than you just cut and pasting snippets of information from the internet, your comments on Quinine bear no relation to my comments about Quinine

You're citing information about modern slavery in the West, but even after a cursory search, i've found that it's predominantly stemming from OUTSIDE the West... INTO the West 🙄🙄🙄
