My advice to her and everyone else is to quit watching the news and other news-like media. Its all bad and more entertainment than news. It serves to keep us all divided and conquered.
Besides all that, people need to understand what it means when we give that sort of aid to other countries. We dont give them cash with which they can then blow on hookers and drugs, or anything else.
We send them $20B worth of US goods and services at inflated prices that they are supposed to pay back but ususlly default, which then allows us to get our greedy fingers into their assets and our influence into their government. The $20B stays stateside and corps like Enron, Bechtel, etc reap the rewards

@Jayciedubb ignorance is very dangerous but you definitely made the case for it! Americans need to stop trying to pay attention and pay for some more conservative government! In all countries. But without caring or knowing. Like now!!!

@Jayciedubb It does seem counterintuitive to tell someone to stop watching the news and current affairs. But in America the media truly is so bad, you might as well not watch. Find a decident international news service based overseas. Many Americans will be surprised how little of what is happening in the world is about America. There are 8 Billion other people out there..😷

@Jayciedubb Thats true.. The world is going through a rough patch right now. Much of it man made. But it is the planet we all share. So your real options are to drive scared and careful and hope to avoid the oncoming cars and potholes. Or to drive with your eyes closed. You are going to travel the road either way.. As for 60 minutes. Its rubbish in both places.. Maybe try SBS world news..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman i prefer to drive with skill and purpose and follow the rules of the road for the most part. Dont get boxed in snd always leave yourself an out or at least a cushion with which to gain momentum if needed to build up some ramming speed.. 😉
I quit watching the news many years ago when i realized it's always bad news and puts me in a bad mood and frustrates me because there's never anything I can do about it. So I decided I'd rather not know about it and live in peace. My own personal peace

@Jayciedubb Oh man... who is preaching for the "no brains no headaches" approach now? ...
Also you:
I guess the guy that likes to brag that his BTMI overlaps with Albert Einstein... also embraced the idea that ignorance is bliss.
Ignorant, arrogant and armed... what can go wrong? 🤷♂
