MIT REJECTS tRUMP Misadministration deal for priority federal funding!

MIT was one of 9 universities that were offered federal funding perks if they adopted MAGA policies & priorities.

In her letter released today, Sally Kornbluth (President of MIT University), wrote: “[And] fundamentally, the premise of the document is inconsistent with our core belief that scientific funding should be based on scientific merit alone."

@samueltyler2 You can look at the infection rates before penicillin was in use and immediately after it was introduced—dramatic drops! Then during the Vietnam war, the 80’s with AIDS, the rates started to creep back up. Not due to resistance to PCN, but socioeconomic reasons.

I fear that with RFK, Jr we will see the same phenomenon for diseases we have had amazing successes treating & preventing.

Not that Kennedy is the only vaccine denier out there, but he’s the most vocal.

Absolutely the biggest menace to public health in America today—unless you count his enabler (Demented Donnie).

@KunsanVeteran you don't have to quite from your Google, i practiced medicine from 1967-2016. I am very familiar with the diagnosis, and failure to diagnose syphilis. There was a time when every patient seen in a hospital or clinic was tested with a VDRL. I am not totally sure when that stopped. But if all your visits were with only a physician in an office, that might never have occurred and the initial presentations of stage 1 or 2 syphilis might be missed particularly in a wealthy population.
