U.S. Supreme Court Agrees to Hear an Appeal That Would Allow Essentially ANYONE to Bring a Firearm onto YOUR Property WITHOUT Your Permission!

The Supreme Court agreed Friday to decide if states may bar people from carrying guns onto someone else's private property without permission from the property owner.

The appeals court was “absolutely right to say it’s constitutional to prohibit guns on private property unless the owner says they want guns there,” said Janet Carter, managing director of Second Amendment litigation at Everytown Law. “This law respects people’s right to be safe on their own property, and we urge the Supreme Court to uphold it.”

🤔 But with this MAGA Court, you never know.

I guess I'd better keep my powder dry in case of tresspassers.

Yep. I would get the signs up warning people that anyone "carrying" should carry adequate identification to allow the return of their remains..😷

This sounds truly bonkers. Would be really interested to know how it ended up in the highest court.

I wonder if the Supreme Court would like to rule on the constitutionality of me requiring visitors to take off their shoes in my home 🥺
FWIW, the NRA has never allowed guns at its annual meetings. The National Republican Committee has never allowed guns at its annual meetings. The Secret Service never allows guns at any presidential or vice presidential event.

It sure would be interesting to see how the gun nuts would cope with a change in these policies.

@ElwoodBlues Nor are any guns allowed in any court setting.

Would be interesting if they allowed guns in a court setting. 😆

Government property, county, state and federal, is considered private property currently.

States at least have rights under the tenth amendment. So do corporations under the fourteenth amendment.
So, it should be legal to carry firearms when visiting the White House? How about court rooms? I can just imagine armed people flocking to the Capitol when Congress is in session.
Isn't that common sense? You go into Mexico, loaded for bear, and when people react, you draw, and draw fire, and then you destroy the natives and take their land.
