There was a high likelyhood of this happening Gus... It's what half of the country voted for.
Chances are that half will deny that this is the case, but that's largely because they believe that they can vote for a party that has radical stances and is unable to compromise without consequences. Even when that party has to function within a system that is based on compromise. 🤷♂
And, the movement they are voting for, has no ability to self reflect. Nothing they do has consequences, if there are consequences there is always a scapegoat to blame. But reality keeps pushing back.
