Arctic Frost: the FBI’s Snooping Attack on Conservative Groups
Arctic Frost is the code name for an FBI operation designed to snoop into several Conservative organizations – including Turning Point USA. According to documents released Tuesday, the Biden FBI ‘investigated’ no less than 92 different Conservative groups during its “witch hunt” over Donald J. Trump. It’s not the first time Democrats targeted Conservatives, and probably won’t be the last.
“In other words, Arctic Frost wasn’t just a case to politically investigate Trump,” said Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa). “It was the vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and DOJ prosecutors could achieve their partisan ends and improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus.” The Washington Stand
During the Obama administration, Lois Lerner (director of the IRS) targeted every Conservative group she could find in an attempt to find wrongdoing. She targeted the Tea Party, and various others. I was ‘privileged’ to get one of her nasty letters. It demanded I pay taxes on any and all donations to my church. How did I get out of it? I wrote back a statement from the actual IRS website that reminded her that churches are tax exempt. They left me alone. She was eventually called before Congress and recently even one of her former employees was terminated from the agency.
In 2013, it was revealed that the IRS, under Lerner, had wrongfully scrutinized tax-exempt applications related to the phrases “Tea Party,” “9/12” and “Constitution.” The Treasury’s inspector general later confirmed “inappropriate criteria” were used to target conservative groups and criticized ineffective oversight of systemic bias.
The IRS reportedly spent more than two years targeting conservative tax-exempt groups.
