Did you know most whites who engaged in lynchings or were there celebrating are still alive today? It wasn't that long ago.

There was a video on Instagram which I can't post here as every link is broken from instagram now but there's a memorial with the names of those lynched and reasons why they were lynched. Some of the lynchings include a woman who complained about white kids throwing rocks at her, she was lynched. I think a few reported assaults, they got lynched. Some man scared some kid accidentally, he got lynched. I wonder if Maga is the way it is because these are the same people who participated in those kinds of things. Think about how many people got away with lynching back then in the 60s and beyond, they have to have a vote.

I had a dark thought that some of these same people remember the "good ol' days" when they could get away with so much and resent the minority communities because they remember thinking it would always be like that and others would just "know their place."
