Vigils Held Nationwide in Honor of Slain Conservative Voice, Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk is dead. The conservative leader and founder of Turning Point USA was assassinated. He was shot and killed while giving a speech at Utah Valley University. He was only 31. He leaves behind a wife and two small children. What kind of monster orphans two children for politics?

Charlie Kirk wasn’t some stuffy commentator. He was a fighter. For a generation of young conservatives who felt shouted down, he was a hero. He reminded them it was okay to love America and to speak the truth. He built a movement that truly scared the establishment.

President Donald Trump knew how important Charlie was. He loved him. And he is heartbroken, just like the rest of us. Leaders from all over the world are saying the same thing. They knew he was a warrior for freedom. They knew he was murdered for telling the truth. Many Americans followed their lead.

Vigils were held across the country following the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at an event in Utah on Wednesday.

Kirk, the 31-year-old co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed on the campus of Utah Valley University on Wednesday afternoon. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition before he was later pronounced dead.

Politicians, faith leaders, fellow conservative activists and others mourned Kirk’s death, with some announcing vigils to stand against political violence in the wake of his murder.

And how did our side respond? With prayer. All across America, good people gathered for vigils. They lit candles. They prayed for Charlie’s family. They prayed for our nation.

Look at the difference. Our side prays. Their side preys. That’s the choice in America today. We can be a nation on our knees in prayer, or we can be a nation brought to its knees by violence.

@Richard65 So, what's your point?
@fanuc2013 His point...he pushes lies.

Vance Boelter killed Melissa Hortman. Boelter was twice appointed to his role on the Workforce Development Board by Democrat governors. Mark Dayton in 2016 and by Tim Walz in 2019. They also discovered "No Kings" (anti-Trump) fliers in his car. Boy, that sounds like a Trump supporter to me. 🙄

Cody Balmer targeted Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro over perceived injustices toward the Palestinian people. Adopts a leftist ideology, but hey...he's a Trump supporter. Wink wink

The men who wanted to hang Mike Pence never touched Mike Pence.

The gay prostitute they caught with Paul Pelosi, which led to the hilarious fake hammer fight in their underwear...was photographed at a rally dressed as Trump, mocking an assault of Stormy Daniels. But I'm sure he voted for Trump 🙄

Two of the people behind the "Gretchen Witmer kidnapping" were acquitted. Why? FBI engaged in entrapment.

Every example he provides is bs

There was no evidence Boelter is a Marxist. Friends have told local media he was right-leaning. And while Minnesota voting rolls don’t list party affiliation, Boelter was registered as a Republican in Oklahoma in 2004.
But the available evidence – including public comments from people who knew Boelter, news reports about Boelter’s writings and video of Boelter – did not support their conclusion that this was the work of a left-leaning ideologue.

His friends said he was right-leaning, a supporter of President Donald Trump and opposed abortion rights. While preaching in the Democratic Republic of the Congo a few years ago, he spoke against abortion. (Boelter) was right-leaning politically but never fanatical, from what I saw, just strong beliefs,” Schroeder told the AP. “He never talked to me about abortion… It seemed to be just that he was a conservative Republican who naturally followed Trump.”

David Carlson, who identified himself to reporters as Boelter’s current roommate and longtime friend, said claims that Boelter was a Democrat were inaccurate.

Carlson rebutted the narrative – amplified by prominent conservative influencers – that Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s 2019 appointment of Boelter to a state workforce development board proved Boelter was a liberal.

“Everyone’s calling him a Democrat – he’s not a Democrat,” Carlson said to CBS News. “He would be offended if people called him a Democrat.” Boelter’s appointment to Walz’s workforce development board was reflective of Boelter “serving the community,” not of his political beliefs, Carlson said.

Boelter did not like former President Joe Biden, Carlson added.

“He was a Trump supporter,” Carlson said. “He voted for Trump. He liked Trump.”

Marxist? 😂 Just pointing out facts. Appointed by 2 democrat governors, and had No Kings fliers. Oh...but he's a republican 🙄

Not the 1st time the left tried to play pin the MAGA tail on the leftist.

@BizSuitStacy I'm pretty sure his personal friends and flatmate knew him better than you ever could. The Dems didn't know him, he was just one of many who volunteered to take part in a community programme. He was anti abortion. Doesn’t sound much like a lefty to me.
@Richard65 Ohhh...leftists wouldn't lie. Ohhh...maybe Adam Schiff has a super anonymous whistle blower 😳
