What can be done about so called Christian nationalists and far right wing populists?

The political sphere in America right now is very disturbing.

Hijack the algorithms. A lot of people on the left and right are being radicalized online by getting personally curated content in their feed meant to appeal to their biases. They're seeing over and over again selectively edited, blatantly one-sided, overly simplistic, self-gratifying content devoid of nuance or critical thinking. Our attention spans are rapidly shrinking and politics is being reduced to quick soundbites and viral video clips.

We're deliberately not being shown lengthy conversations and healthy dialogue because these social media companies get their money from clicks and views. You can squeeze a lot more views by making content shorter and the proven strategy for retaining viewers is negative engagement in the form of flame wars.

We also need to realize that most of the people having opinions on topics are largely uneducated, unqualified, and inexperienced in the topics they're talking about. We need some way of having it called out by people who do have the knowledge to engage in these conversations

Christianity is struggling to survive and they are pouring a tremendous amount of resources into it. They are still a solid bloc and seem to latch onto whichever politician can out extreme the others. They are also a solid bloc of viewers for right wing news and right wing podcasts who in tern feed them what exactly what they want to hear which is more often than not a pack of lies and half truths.

America is not as right as it seems at the moment. They just have the loudest voices. Our Houses of Congress are split almost 50-50 and about 80,000 more Harris votes spread across four states and she would have won the White House. Trump threaded the needle and won.

The Left doesn't have a large bloc that can compete with the religious right so we have to appeal to a wide range of people with a wide range of agendas (the large tent approach). It's a balancing act because what might please one group is not in the best interest of another. The biggest thing we have going right now is that most of the left are in agreement that our Democracy is in danger from Trump's cult of fools.
Don’t cut yourself short. You do have all the far left socialist nuts and there lots of em. @MoveAlong

The Charlie Kirks of America are the tip of the spear. This will not change.
