A woman facing cancer is routinely denied care by ice

and has been held since February she has bruises all over her body, can't stand and is numb. It's not too far into this video but it wasn't the main subject it just sickened me.

I’m sorry anyone is suffering with cancer. And I don’t mean to sound insensitive. But should Americans taxpayers be forced to pay for everyone in the world to have healthcare while taxpayers can’t afford to pay for theirs and their families healthcare is full? Most countries have oncology and cancer treatment. Has she asked to be returned to her home country to receive treatment? If not, she should so that treatment isn’t delayed any longer. She committed a crime when she tried to smuggle an illegal immigrant into the country and nobody can deny that was a crime. Should that be overlooked because she has cancer?

I do question the lady from Ireland being deported or detained Just writing. A bad check should not be a reason.
The man from Columbia University should be deported if you are a legal resident in the United States. You do not support a country. The United States considersterrorist, whether you do or not.
You are expected to support American value. When parents come to America illegally, and bring their children. Or have children while they are here they take the risk of being deported. They know this.

There are many videos on YouTube that explain all this from liberal immigration, judges, as well as conservative. Liberal judges consider President Trump‘s new policies excessive but every administration has a right to make policy changes.

I do wish and think ice in DHS need to be more forthcoming and broadcast on White House briefings why they are rating and why they are deporting or detaining people. I think it would help misinformation being spread.

It has become the game secrets with liberals and conservatives. One person says something. The next person adds to it until it’s a completely different sentence or report however, you wanna look at it.

I do believe ice is excessive in some cases with their capturing, but when they run and hide, it certainly doesn’t help their case if I see that eye is being excessive in all cases I will admit it and say it needs to stop, but unless you see a video from the very beginning, and the reason you really can’t make a judgment. Again, I believe that ice and DHS need to be more transparent and explain on TV. Why?

@missyann First off, she held lawful permanent status:

https://www.newsweek.com/ice-dhs-green-card-cancer-detained-immigration-2125118

Second, you just assume that she's getting treatment for free or something, so why is this even an argument, you don't know her circumstances or her job or her life.

Thirdly, I believe that everyone should have access to health around the world but I'll entertain your viewpoint for a minute, what makes you more deserving of having healthcare over others.

What if I don't want my tax dollars going to maga who are sadistic freaks and routinely don't support due process and champion going against the constitution. What if I feel that way about you.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@missyann doesn't care about American citizens if they are the wrong color, obviously.

@SatanBurger
missyann · 56-60
@LordShadowfire no way you can say this. I have a black granddaughter with a black father who’s part of the family I have had a black and Hispanic employer

They care about the rule of Law also and be Hispanic woman did it the right way?
She waited 15 years to become a citizen
What’s allowed to stay with a green card and had no infractions?

Any administration can make policies less or more. If there is ever a Democrat president again, they will be able to change policies.
Or American citizens
I don’t want anyone treated unfairly immigrants,

Think what you want me, but I am not a racist. I just believe there should be laws and those laws have to be followed if we are ever going to have peace in this country
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@missyann You can work with Mexicans and have black family, yet still be prejudiced. Just like a person on here who is maga has an autistic son and said horrible things regarding their autism but yet still said they loved them. Like autism being a mental illness when it's not.

The reason you're prejudiced is
because you're willing to go along with things you know are wrong. When people check you on your statements you are not willing to budge. Like if I told you that Americans use healthcare at more higher rates and generally are unhealthier than undocumented immigrants, you'd still dig your heels in somehow to say that they aren't deserving of healthcare despite using it less.

Knowledge is awareness, if you have awareness and still don't feel responsible to change your position on some things, maybe not all, then this is willful.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@LordShadowfire Yeah that's true. I don't really counter their points to change their mind anymore. I more do it for other people and to combat misinformation.

In this case the woman is legal and is being denied healthcare as a legal citizen but undocumented immigrants are less likely to use resources in healthcare. Americans do and can take up the majority of expenses.

@missyann isn't it fundamentally a matter of due process? I know of many US citizens who became ill while travelling to other countries which have tax-supported medical care. They were never charged for compassionate care. Why can't the richest country in the world not be as compassionate?

The other fundamental problem is that every US citizen should have access to medical care. We are the only developed country that has no form of universal health care. I am a retired physician, there must be a way to provide for a system to deliver medical care in our country.
missyann · 56-60
@SatanBurger Number one she tried to smuggle( human trafficking ) an illegal immigrant into the country. She is an even a citizen of. I’m not saying that she should not receive healthcare But American taxpayers should have to pay for it ( if we are ). You know people do come here to receive our social services. There are American citizens who need care first She needs to try to receive it in her own country before she expects American taxpayers pay for it ( if we are)

There are and have been a lot of things I don’t want my money going towards but I want it to stay in America for our citizens first
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@missyann sooo no healthcare for struggling people, but arms and free healthcare and education on the US taxpayer's dime for Israel.
missyann · 56-60
@samueltyler2 I believe 100% we need a better healthcare system. But socialize medicine is not gonna work in the United States. If everyone was on and equal pay system it might, but it’s never gonna happen in the United States.

I’ve traveled to another country and had to receive healthcare. I paid for it
And it was a hassle, but I did get my insurance to pay me back for part of it

If you are retired position, you have to know that American citizens have issues paying for their healthcare. Shouldn’t they receive taxpayer money before illegal immigrants?
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@missyann shouldn't American citizens receive healthcare before Israeli settlers?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@missyann undocumented individuals do not receive benefits, that is incorrect. There are also all sorts of ways to get children free immunizations. I ran a clinic for just that. We treated all of people who came in, that is children, and gave them health screenings and free immunizations. Hopefully those clinics are not going to close.

You use the term socialized medicine. Forget the negatives of that, i call it universal health care. Is clean air or water socialized ecology? If so then I am for it.
missyann · 56-60
@basilfawlty89 I have a black granddaughter with a black father who’s part of the family. I have had a black and a Hispanic employer, so don’t tell me that I am racist.

I don’t care if you’re black, white blue, purple or green there are laws in a system that everybody should follow
I could never go to another country and demand to be let in do you know of a country that will do that? “ Come on in we’ll feed you. We’ll give you free healthcare. Will give you a place to live.”
If so, let me know where this is
missyann · 56-60
@samueltyler2 You know damn good well that there are noncitizens who are on United States social services. Recently in New York immigrants were put up in four star hotels fed given free phones. Tell me you don’t know this.
missyann · 56-60
@SatanBurger I’m not willing to budge because I feel that what I am saying is right.

First of all just because I am a conservative who voted for Trump doesn’t mean that I am big on or with the Maga crew

I don’t care if you black white purple or green the black white purple and green American citizens come first. WhyShouldn’t we take care of our own people before we help everybody else in the world?

Call me whatever the hell you want to. I really could care less what you think about me.
My opinion of you isn’t great but I’m gonna stick with the issues not personal character attacks. I don’t know anything about you and I’m not going to pretend to. I just know what you support and I disagree.

I always want to hear others opinions That doesn’t mean I’m going to always agree with them. There have been times that I have changed my stance on things so it is possible just nothing compelling to make me. Change on the issue.
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@missyann "I have a black friend!" - the age old racist defense.
missyann · 56-60
@basilfawlty89 Calling people racist because they believe in the rule of law is a weak defense. You gotta do better than that.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@missyann stop, you know half truths, and jump to your preconceived notions. The use of Medicaid funds and welfare for undocumented has been shown to not exist! I worked in health care, I know from personal experience as well as know the law. You are just incorrect. If you can cite anyone falsely receiving such care, you should report it to the authorities. If they somehow are using someone else's identity or medical card,n they are committing a crime and can be incarcerated or deported for it.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@missyann
I’m not willing to budge because I feel that what I am saying is right.

Yes I know. I said it above your refusal to budge with new information is what makes one have prejudice.

First of all just because I am a conservative who voted for Trump doesn’t mean that I am big on or with the Maga crew

It does actually, you've done nothing but defend maga and will jump on anyone else doing so.

I don’t care if you black white purple or green the black white purple and green American citizens come first. WhyShouldn’t we take care of our own people before we help everybody else in the world?

We already do, immigrants are Americans, Americans aren't a race.

Call me whatever the hell you want to. I really could care less what you think about me.

Cool

My opinion of you isn’t great but I’m gonna stick with the issues not personal character attacks. I don’t know anything about you and I’m not going to pretend to. I just know what you support and I disagree.

I've had to repeat the same things to you and as above, you refuse to consider anything and you even said yourself that facts don't matter as you're not willing to budge. When people are being denied cancer treatments and we have people in this world repeating the same justifications for treating others in that way then fkk their feelings. It's not happening to you so you don't get to act like that.

Facts always matter in a fascist society that is actively trying to change reality, whitewash history and control people's rights.

I'd like to mention the attacks on the lgbtq+ community and veterans.

I always want to hear others opinions That doesn’t mean I’m going to always agree with them. There have been times that I have changed my stance on things so it is possible just nothing compelling to make me. Change on the issue.

Nah you'll never change.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@missyann if what you say is true, am what do you plan to do to help restore medical care to those US citizens who under the big wonderful new bill are losing their medical insurance, their SNAP benefits, etc? Do not even try to deny it is happening. There are people I know on SW who are screwed. You do know there are people on this country, born here to US citizens, who do not earn enough to pay enough taxes to make tax credits useful for them. They have lost their Medicaid and the cost of medical insurance and care for them is all but unaffordable.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@missyann
no way you can say this. I have a black granddaughter with a black father who’s part of the family I have had a black and Hispanic employer
Yeah, yeah, and I have a black friend. What's your point? You've proven that you have a prejudice against Hispanic people because you simply assumed she wasn't a citizen.

And what happens when you assume?
missyann · 56-60
@LordShadowfire I’m not saying 100% that I didn’t say she was Hispanic, but I don’t believe I did. If I did, that was wrong.

What I said was that she should go back kto her own country and seek treatment Most countries. Do you have oncologist and cancer treatment? What is wrong with saying that ? If she returns to her country, she won’t have to delay treatment.

You are assuming that I am a racist with absolutely no proof. You know what happens when you assume.!!!!!!!! Expecting everybody in the country to follow, our law is not racist my Hispanic black family, and friends, and European friends agree with the rule of law. How hard is it to follow the law? They are citizens of this country who have never had a run in with the law and die of old age. It is possible.

JustCalling me a racist because I believe everyone no matter what color, nationality sexual orientation need to follow up the how are you? in this country, doesn’t no work do you have a good reason for saying this?
You really need to come up with something ev party nlse
missyann · 56-60
@samueltyler2 Medicaid is the most abused assistance we have in this country. If you are a physician, you know this.

Cutting back on Medicaid in the big beautiful bill is meant for those who abuse it go on YouTube pull up women who abuse Medicaid and you will come across womenwho is so arrogant. She says that she has the right to drive a big expensive new car has several children different fathers. They show their grocery purchase. It’s unbelievable how much junk they buy.

Their children are the ones who suffer. I see wanted signs in every gas station and grocery Dollar General and Dollar tree stores that I go into. How many of these women have hair extension nails the best phones, purses, and clothes? A LOT

You try and come up with a system that will ensure that children get the food from the food stamps and mom doesn’t sell them for drugs or cash. Don’t even try to say this isn’t happening on a grand level.
You come up with a way that really works and I’ll be the first to support it

You get the lazy ass people out getting jobs taking care of their kids Women also need to understand that one maybe two of the most maybe an accident is acceptable but after that, they know how pregnancy happensand they know how to prevent it. If it keeps happening, this means they want to suck the American taxpayer dry.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@missyann do not put words in my mouth, and please do your homework. i will not debate this, since you clearly have a bias, not based on any data. I was in academic medicine mostly, you have no idea what sort of patient we saw! You have a very biased incorrect view about those on medicaid.
missyann · 56-60
@samueltyler2 I’m sorry I didn’t mean to put words in your mouth. I didn’t realize I did.

I too worked in family practice for 30 years I worked back office and administrative and I saw the abuse terrible abuse from many of the patients
I also saw those who cherish every penny they received These were mostly elderly patients. I also have family who continue to abuse i Medicaid and I also have a family member appreciates what the taxpayers do for their family

A lot of the abuse I saw was disability fraud. One man actually put rocks in his shoes and walked around for three days before he went for his evaluation and one who got high and paioa friend to slam his hand in a car door. People are creative and go to great lengths to get what they want

I also see no reason to debate. I only tell the truth about what I’ve seen and what I believe. It is not biased or unbiased. I can’t unsee what I’ve seen.
