They chose to do that back in 2016 (and converted others).
The percentage that will regret their decision is small; the percentage that will publicly admit that to others even smaller.

@Livingwell Well, he does have (fake) bone spurs, and he has been busy calling other people fat.
@MarkPaul Long, written and eloquent things are unlikely to sway the MAGA crowd to begin with. They're conditioned to respond best to meandering with a grade school vocabulary and to distrust people who use big words or went to "liberal" universities or even took high school physics classes.
But beyond that, blaming others and not taking responsibility is not only a Trump trait, but something he preaches to them as well. It's them, the other, they're ripping us off, and only I can make them pay, or suffer, deport them, etc
Watch how nervous the modern GOP gets about tariffs and needing to accept price increases. Even Trump had to pivot to blaming companies on that one.

@MistyCee That's true, but I'm talking about the current crop of most Democrat leaders who are trying to be impressive by giving long speeches, writing strongly worded letters, and speaking eloquently without really doing anything. As a contrast, JB Pritzker isn't as eloquent as Hakeem Jeffries, but he's fighting back. Gavin Newsom is mirroring that pedophile enthusiast, Cry-Baby-trump instead of giving extensive and expansive speeches, but he's "owning" the maga-nuts as they are compelled to see how crazy and self-promoting the mirror image is.
It's literally a new ball game and the old tactics are no longer viable... as uncomfortable as that might be to all the relics on both sides. On both sides.
