I actually checked into this. Traditionally the secret service is removed from a vice president about 6 months after leaving office.

@samueltyler2 So, basically Joe felt that the protection needed to be extended, and changed it for the first time, and Trump doesn't like anything Joe did, so he undid it.

So it's not hatred of Kamala, just the usual level of pettiness.

@jackjjackson You're right. He wasn't pretending, because he never pretended to be in office. However, he was vice president at the time.

@IM5688 I found out a little more information. Apparently, what was going on was that former vice presidents were enjoying protection for 6 months after they left office, but President Biden changed that to a year. Trump has now reversed that decision.

@jackjjackson I admit I might have misspoken just the slightest bit. He was vice president at the time. But when I find really telling is that somebody like you, who changes your story with the wind, would even consider the wisdom of calling me a liar.
