Free money is never free. Would I happily spend a govt check? Yes. Would I fret about the national debt? Totally. Pay down the debt, don't give out "free" money.

It's a pretty useful tool. You can either award the contract for a kickback or give the job to a loyalist as a reward, put your name on the check, and you can also pick and choose who gets the checks when, red states, blue states, by zip code or even by political affiliation.

No court can issue a nationwide injunction, so you'll get away with rewarding loyalists in the 5th Circuit, and the 9th is pretty much blue anyways, so why worry if the libs dont get theirs.

At the very least, it'd be controversial, distracting from other things.

I don't need a rebate. I'd rather it actually pay down debt.

I think if there is any kind of surplus, it should either be returned to taxpayers or applied to the national debt, I can't really see any other legitimate use for it. The amount of foreign aid and what we send it for is ridiculous. I think all foreign aid should be stopped until we have a balanced budget and no debt as a nation.

You're stoking conflict throughout the whole world and dying younger and living poorer, like the two parties guaranteed. No alternatives. You hate socialism more than you want change. Why not? We're the ones paying for it.

Foreign aid is mostly a bribe to the wealthy and powerful. Very little of that gets to where it will do some good.

It should be applied to the deficit.
