I used to be one of those MAGA types who thought everything that didn't have to do with my culture/politics was unimportant.

Then I realized there are civilizations with history and living members, real people, who are being erased as we type here on SW.

Anyone who sees that as unimportant has some serious inner work to do.

Introspection is hard work, it literally belittles your actions from the past, it's your own hell, really. But, once you get to the place of being ok and learning to change your thoughts and actions to new thoughts and actions, it's a beautiful place.

Knowing who you really are is a miracle that most people never even try to know themselves.

That is evolution, that is maturity, that is growth!

And hey, we all can be a little arseholish in our younger years. Hell in my teens, I was an edgy atheist kid that wanted to pick fights randomly on religion. You grow out of it.

America exceptionalism disregards other life that is different from them. They usually regard others are ignorant and stupid, that's a bad way to look at the world too. Because I guarantee those lesser people also have feeling and emotions and struggles.

@AthrillatheHunt I may regret commenting again but it might be worth adding that the way you word things makes it sound like you're trying to insult or dismiss people. I don't know if that's your intent but it's why I stopped responding when you framed one of my experiences as "watching a child die and just filing it away" or something like that. I'm not a computer.
