New York Times Caught in Massive Lie About Trump and Israel, Issues Correction Seen by Few

Okay, so get this. The New York Times—along with CNN, The Guardian, and basically every major outlet—ran these heartbreaking stories about a kid from Gaza. Little Mohammed Zakaria al-Mutawaq, just 20 months old. They used his photo as “proof” that Israel was starving Palestinian children. The message was crystal clear: Israel bad, look at this poor baby.

But here’s where it gets good. It was all a lie. Every bit of it.

This independent reporter, David Collier, did what the big media companies wouldn’t. He actually investigated. Turns out the child had severe health problems that caused his condition. It wasn’t starvation. But wait—it gets worse. The kid’s three-year-old brother? Totally healthy. Well-fed. In the exact same photos!

So after getting totally busted, what does The Times do? They post this pathetic little editor’s note. But not on their main Twitter with 55 million followers. Oh no. They sneak it onto their PR account that barely anyone follows.

“We have appended an Editors’ Note to a story about Mohammed Zakaria al-Mutawaq, a child in Gaza who was diagnosed with severe malnutrition,” the Times said in its statement. “After publication, The Times learned that he also had pre-existing health problems.”

“Our reporters and photographers continue to report from Gaza bravely, sensitively, and at personal risk, so that readers can see firsthand the consequences of the war,” the Times insisted.

People absolutely destroyed them online. Josh Kraushaar from Jewish Insider nailed it: “A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.”

Physicist Shaun Maguire went even harder. He called it “a blood libel against Jews everywhere.” He told The Times to “have a long hard look in the mirror.” (Spoiler alert: They won’t.)

The responses were brutal—and totally deserved. Attorney Marina Medvin dropped a truth bomb: “Reminds me of that time that you buried the Holocaust in the back pages.”

Another lawyer, Andrew Laufer, pointed out what everyone was thinking. Why post the correction on the tiny account? “Post this on your main account with the 55 million followers where the original libelous article appeared.”

For those of us who support Israel and actually want honest journalism? This proves what we’ve known all along. The mainstream media doesn’t just lean left—they’ll straight-up lie to push their agenda. And when they get caught? They mumble a correction that nobody sees.

The media elite had all the power, and they blew it. They chose activism over accuracy. They chose narratives over news. And now they’re paying the price.

@sunsporter1649 Not applicable to Judea & Samaria. I'm sorry, but I've been talking about something else here. Not that I wanted to, but I was urged to be serious. Have a good day nevertheless

@Thinkerbell Some of them attempted to hold it as long as they could...but...🤣🤣🤣

Which is why only about 31% of people polled have a great deal or a fair amount of trust in the mass news media, down from about 70% 50 years ago.

The NY Times is beneath contempt.
