Sorry About All This Scotland

One recent poll found 71% of people in Scotland have an unfavorable opinion of Trump.

So why is Trump visiting Scotland? After all, it's costing the locals $ Millions to provide security, this is on top of whatever the US is spending on security, on top of the $10M the US is spending on the trip, just so Trump gets to promote his new Golf Club.

The Trump Golf club will charge the US for the cost of housing the Trump security detail and entourage.

Trump initially claimed that the trip will be to discuss trade. A couple of problems with his statement:

1. The trade agreement between the US and UK has already and concluded.

2. The trade "meeting" is the last day, and it's more of a pat on the bank for the agreement that was concluded in May.

Some protesters managed to install a sign under the main club's entrance sign, that looks like it's part of the official sign, except it says something like 'twi resort with the Epstein island'...

MAGA.

I'm amazed that only 71% of Scots have an unfavourable opinion. He has behaved like a medieval baron in building up his two golf estates, damaging sensitive ecosystems, and disregarding local opinion.

This is another example of him blurring his private interests with his public role. It is nothing more than a business trip/holiday. He tacked on a meeting with Keir Starmer to justify the £5m tag on his security detail that the Scottish government is covering.

Everytime he comes to Scotland he gets triggered by the sight of wind turbines from his golf courses. It would be very funny if someone installed a windmill in Mar a Lago while he's not looking 😅
