On pardoning Maxwell, trump: "I'm allowed to do it"

... His admin is trying to overturn the law requiring clergy to report child sexual abuse;

He pardoned the Jan 6 insurrectionists. So, why not? The President can pardon anyone he wants.

A presidential pardon changes none of the facts, just as pardoning 1,500 insurrectionists changed nothing about what happened on 6 January. All it does is to call into question the judgement of the pardoner.

As an Americans I think I speak for all of us when I express my deep sadness in the future suicide of Ghislaine Maxwell 😔
