GOP Rep Files Impeachment Articles Against Judge Who Blocked Trump’s National Guard Order

A Republican lawmaker is filing impeachment articles against a judge who temporarily blocked President Donald Trump’s control of the National Guard in California during this month’s riots in Los Angeles.

Rep. Randy Fine, R-La., is filing a resolution to remove U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer from the bench on Friday.

He told Fox News Digital that he felt the judge’s decision was “political.”

“The goal is to get judges to do their jobs. If we’re not going to try to hold accountable the ones that aren’t, then they have no incentive to stop,” Fine said.

Republican Rep. Randy Fine is filing for the impeachment of a federal judge. The judge, Charles Breyer, tried to stop President Donald Trump from using the National Guard to end riots in Los Angeles. When California’s progressive leaders failed to stop the chaos, President Trump acted to restore order. Judge Breyer tried to stand in his way.

But the story gets better. A higher court quickly slapped down Breyer’s ruling. It said President Trump was completely within his rights. This proved the judge was not following the law, but was playing politics. Rep. Fine believes it’s time for consequences.

Rep. Fine knows that removing a judge is difficult. But that isn’t the only point. The goal is to send a clear message to every activist judge in the country: you are not above the law.

For too long, these judges have blocked efforts to secure the border, enforce our laws, and protect our communities. They have acted like a shadow government, canceling the votes of millions of Americans with the bang of a gavel. This impeachment filing is a warning shot. It’s a reminder that the Constitution gives Congress the power to remove judges who abuse their power.
