The U.S. has strategically attacked Iranian nuclear enrichment locations. The U.S. is not officially at war. The U.S. congress must make a declaration of war for the U.S. be be considered "at war". The president has the power to use the military, but with restriction.

@Zonuss In that case, based on your logic or lack thereof, Bill Clinton brought us into war multiple times.
During his presidency (1993-2001), Bill Clinton authorized several military strikes and interventions as part of his foreign policy:
Iraq: Clinton ordered air strikes and cruise missile attacks against Iraq on multiple occasions, including Operation Desert Fox in 1998 for non-cooperation with UN weapons inspectors, in retaliation for an assassination attempt on a former president in 1993, and during Operation Desert Strike in 1996. He also enforced a no-fly zone in Northern Iraq with Operation Northern Watch.
Somalia: Clinton continued Operation Restore Hope, which included increasing troop numbers and the Battle of Mogadishu in 1993. Following the battle, he authorized the withdrawal of U.S. troops in 1994.
Bosnia and Herzegovina: Interventions included establishing no-fly zones with Operation Deny Flight, deploying peacekeepers with Operation Joint Guard, and participating in a large NATO bombing campaign with Operation Deliberate Force in 1995. Clinton also brokered the Dayton Peace Accords to end the conflict.
Sudan and Afghanistan (1998): Operation Infinite Reach involved missile attacks on suspected terrorist bases in response to the bombings of U.S. embassies in Tanzania and Kenya.

@LLcoolK he probably has already crossed the line. No one tried to stop him for years, now it is too late.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 I admit he was dishonest about the timeline.
Apparently he couldn't wait til two weeks. ☺

@Zonuss is that the limit to his lawlessness? History will have a field day!
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 At least they didn't hit us first.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Zonuss does that mke us morally superior? Now we will see the evidence presented, after we attack. There will be no evidence left. Remember the hearings showing Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

@LLcoolK Trump has ignored Congress in every other policy area. Why would he start listening to them now?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Elessar at least we have had some degree of public debate/hearings before. this time we have an administration that is "all over the place" about this and other happenings.
