If it's a subject that Trump doesn't know, then he's absolutely horrible, at his massive ego gets in the way and he thinks he can handle it, even when he doing an absolutely horrible job.
But when he knows something about the subject and knows when to bluff and when not too, then he can be decent...
Of course, on most the international issues, he's lost and he keep bluffing expecting the others to fold, when the reality of the situation is that they can't fold, that's not an option, and he doesn't seem to comprehend this.

@sstronaut I have become convinced he doesn't know anything at all. If it wasn't for his title backed up by the United States of America the only record of his negotiations would be inheriting his father's business, stealing the inheritance from his siblings, and declaring bankruptcies.
