The Trump Teddy Roosevelt parallels are becoming more evident daily. Both came from privileged. Both knew the dangers of letting the elites
and letting the elites control everything and call all the shots. Both put the average patriotic US citizen taxpayers first. Indisputable. That’s why Teddy is on Mt. Rushmore and the elites want to destroy it.
Teddy Roosevelt believed that a graduated income tax, where higher earners paid a higher percentage of their income in taxes, was a more equitable system than relying solely on tariffs. He publicly supported this idea in his 1907 State of the Union address and continued to advocate for it throughout his political career.
Seems tRump is going in the OPPOSITE direction, trying to CUT taxes on high earners and INCREASE tariffs. Parallel, perhaps, but moving in OPPOSITE directions!!

You guys were soundly beaten on the question of whether the mandatory deductions from a paycheck by the government known as payroll taxes are in fact taxes.
Georgie even gave the game away when she wrote that payroll taxes are "called that because they are withheld from paychecks. The government requires employers to collect taxes for them."

Notice the three separate deductions from the net wages. Notice federal income tax, SS tax, and Medicare tax are ALL withheld from net wages. Notice the FICA total takes nearly as big a bite as the income tax.
