I would like to, yet in certain places, like Mall's, you can't get any coffee anywhere else.

@jshm2 So in other words they don't need my money. And I don't need to pay good money to get coffee from a vending machine. Bye, bye Starbucks 👋🏽
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
The average Starbucks barista makes about $35,000, so they'll have to lay off about 1650 more to make up for the CEO's compensation.
I'll never go near a Starbucks again, not that I ever was a regular customer.

@Thinkerbell Starbucks offer nothing except a relatively decent cup of coffee.
Big deal. I can make you a relatively decent cup of coffee.
Avoid.

@iamthe99 Well,I have to disagree with you on one point. As I've indicated,Starbucks coffee is not "relatively decent"; it's horrible.
MayorOfCrushtown · M
That’s right. Support local cafes. Starbucks has enough money to go along with their average at best coffee.
Couldn't agree more. Local businesses need the custom.

These CEOs should be ashamed of themselves! I could never accept that kind of money for what they do!

@uncalled4 In this particular case ,your highly intellectual, etc opinion is absolutely true.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@uncalled4 Their coffee is thick ,bitter and ridiculously overpriced.I suspect even the people who say they like it are only doing so because the brand is supposed to be "hip "or "in" or whatever it's called.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
Besides which ,their coffee is horrible.

@faery I make mine at home and when I go to work I stop at a Lil country store for coffee
Elisbch · M
They should have laid off the CEO. They would have saved themselves a ton of money. Big corporations always screwing the little guy/gal
Adrift · 61-69, F
@Elisbch You know whats funny, I knew someone who worked in a county job where they were laying off the lower level workers.
I asked why is it they always cut the lower paying jobs of the people who actually do the work.
I was told that the theory was the upper levels can always work down but the lower levels can never work up.
Well, I am still anxiously waiting to see someone running a snow plow or fixing a pot hole wearing an expensive suit.

Yeah, but if you deny Starbuck's your business, you're putting a bunch of unemployable college students out of job.
Yeah, I know. Starbucks did that as well.
