jshm2 Hans Bethe (head of theoretical division) and John von Neumann (implosion dynamics) were Jewish refugee scientists who played a big role at the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos. Enrico Fermi was also a division leader, as well as creator of the first self sustaining nuclear reaction in Chicago. Although Fermi wasn't Jewish, his wife Laura was, and so Fermi became a refugee scientist (from Italy) for her sake. Leo Szilard contributed to atomic reactor design, related to producing the plutonium for the bomb. I.I. Rabi, a Jewish man born in Poland was also a consultant; however, his family emigrated prior to Nazism so I don't know if he counts as a refugee.
And then there's Einstein. Although he wasn't a scientific contributor, his recommendation heavily influenced Roosevelt to fund the Manhattan Project.
All in all there was a pretty heavy Jewish refugee scientist contribution to the Manhattan project. P.S. not all those gentlemen originated in Germany, but Nazi expansion or the threat thereof drove them out of Europe.
