Billionaires are NOT self made…

They’re made via a combination of inherited wealth, government subsidies, tax loopholes, labor exploitation, and policy failures.

That is all💸

You’re referring to millionaires w inheritances and law suits and lottery. Most billionaires came up w an IDEA to help people and the money took care of itself (bezos, zuck, jobs, gates, Elon). No one has inherited a billion. Yet .

@AthrillatheHunt No but they’ve inherited millions. And it’s not just inheritance, it’s some or all of the factors I’ve mentioned

@SW-User did you read what I wrote about billionaires coming up w IDEAS that help people ? That is the secret to billions : don’t chase the money. Offer people a service and the money will take care of itself. Nothing stopping any of us from doing that .

@AthrillatheHunt Of course, a "small loan" of $1m from dad, debt forgiveness of $14m, and a family trust fund, all helps the entrepreneurial process 🤗

@SunshineGirl Steve Jobs was an orphan. Bill Gates grew up very middle class . These men started with nothing but an IDEA. That’s the commonality among the Uber wealthy (minus royals ).

@AthrillatheHunt You're right about coming up with an idea. The common denominator of the tech guys you mention is genius level IQ and comfortable middle class background combined with a very strong work ethic. They're smarter and worked harder than you or I. Inherited wealth wasn't a factor.

As for inheriting a billion I'd be willing to bet the Walmart heirs come close. No doubt they never need to work, but they're very much the minority.

@JonUK41 Sam Walton started with an IDEA. I’d wager that no billionaire would want their heirs inheriting a billion. Oprah does not have genius level IQ. I think the work ethic is way more important than brains . I like how you think.

@JonUK41 Well, a stable middle class background and a good education still counts as a sizeable inheritance in my book. One which is not accessible to 99% of the world's population. I'm not a billionaire, but I am reasonably successful in my profession. Which I put down to the way I was brought up, the opportunties I have been given, and a good portion of luck. I've met enough very clever and hardworking people for whom life has not been so kind to have misgivings about the idea of a self-made genius.

@SunshineGirl luck always plays a role.
