@sstronaut I've wondered about that for several years. If you repeat something that is blatantly untrue, but you aren't aware of that, you are definitely spreading a lie, but are you lying?

@sstronaut His mental state is definitely slipping. But given he's been a lifelong compulsive liar doesn't really require his mental state to be slipping to tell lies now. He's never really cared what the truth is. He just says whatever he thinks will help him get what he wants in the moment.

I'd go so far as to say we can't tell if he's mentally capable of determining the truth because he has lived a life of not actually caring what the truth is.

And now he's not going out of the circles and truthful information is no longer getting in...

So even the times when he fully 100% believes he's telling the truth, he's actually not, and he mentally can't figure out why people don't believe him, when in those times, he believes he's telling the 100% truth.

In other words, he might truly believe their is a conspiracy... as when he does believe he's telling the truth, it's coming off out as all lies, but he failed to comprehend, it's the "truthful" information that he's getting that is wrong...

Not the media reaction that is wrong.

But he legitimately doesn't know, or doesn't understand that.
