Imagine a system where you pay a little bit of money every month…

… and everyone gets their illnesses treated, including you.

Now imagine hating this idea.

Are these the missing lyrics to that John Lennon song?

@Faroutcat "Imagine all the doctors, living life without their Mercedes-Benzes."

Imagine no big pharma,
No bills you cannot pay.
No fear to see a doctor,
Or debts that never stay.

Imagine all the people
Sharing in the care... oh oh...

You may say I'm a dreamer,
But I'm not the only one;
Just wish more folks believed it,
Instead of turning and run.

@iamthe99 That's good!

@iamthe99 Careful what you wish for.

The USA pays more for drugs than anyone else. This makes a lot of money for big pharma and enables them to keep prices down elsewhere. It also gives them more money to invest in R & D.

I'm sure you're an intelligent guy so you understand drugs don't just fall out of the sky. They're the result of millions of dollars of investment which might not actually bear fruit.

Do you want pharma to make less money so they invest less in R & D?
@JonUK41 Nice attempt at distraction lol. You forget that Big Pharma will make their money whether people have healthcare or not, nothing you or anyone else can do about it, that is a solid fact.
JonUK41 · 36-40, M
@JamesBugman Of course they'll always make money.

My point was that @iamthe99 lives in the UK as I do. We benefit from big pharma ripping off Americans on drug prices
