@ChipmunkErnie That doesn’t matter, if the motivation and justification for something is religious everything else becomes secondary. Maybe the inquisition misinterpreted the Bible, maybe Bin Laden the Quran… it doesn’t change that they were propelled by some religious dogma and used it as their justification.
