china is the one misusing/taking advantage of de minimus exemption (90% of their exports into the US actually), they split up their commercial exports under various shell company/fake distributers to get out of paying tarriff/shipping fees like everyone else has to pay
Now they're forced to export to actual distributors/suppliers; As is the case with sites like Temu now; instead of buying products directly from china, you get it through a US distributor/store now & china has to pay the tariffs/fees; People can complain all they want, but it opens up market for competition, especially domestically
There's no reason that we should have to import vast amounts of simple, cheap, easily produced items that could just as easily be made here

@wildbill83 all tariffs and taxes are paid by the end consumer no matter where it comes from/goes to or how they word it. When stuff goes into the USA with a 145% tariff the US citizens are the ones that pay
