I'm voting for Donald Trump for the economy, and to own the libs.

To which I say, "I really don't care. Do you?" 🤣

china is the one misusing/taking advantage of de minimus exemption (90% of their exports into the US actually), they split up their commercial exports under various shell company/fake distributers to get out of paying tarriff/shipping fees like everyone else has to pay

Now they're forced to export to actual distributors/suppliers; As is the case with sites like Temu now; instead of buying products directly from china, you get it through a US distributor/store now & china has to pay the tariffs/fees; People can complain all they want, but it opens up market for competition, especially domestically

There's no reason that we should have to import vast amounts of simple, cheap, easily produced items that could just as easily be made here

In short, China's dirty/unfair trade practices, falsifying labels/shipping invoices to ship through 3rd party countries to avoid tariffs/fees, ignoring patent laws/intellectual property rights, flooding markets, sabotaging competitors, etc. is what invoked this response

Until the CCP starts playing by the same rules as everyone else, Tariffs are the only way for foreign bodies to punish them...

@wildbill83 yet, this is how it panned out.

@iamthe99 wrong, it's quite the opposite actually; China's economy is hemorrhaging/collapsing; Xi is the one begging for a deal...
@wildbill83 importer pays the tariff

@wildbill83 While your once great economy is doing even better, right?

@wildbill83 all tariffs and taxes are paid by the end consumer no matter where it comes from/goes to or how they word it. When stuff goes into the USA with a 145% tariff the US citizens are the ones that pay
