I guess Amazon almost did a hostile an political act...

For showing the customer which taxes they have to pay to the US governement in tariff-revenue.

Everyone can see the sales taxes on their bills... But I guess showing the tax that the current president is levying on your products is a "hostile act".

Wonder why that is... mmmm what can it be? 🤔

But no worries, your "taxes" will go down... because the big tax on consumers is "regulation", according to David Wessel. The cost of knowing that your products are safe to use, the cost that you pay to have the employees that make your product have a safe work enviorment. That's the real cost on consumers. I wonder when these people are going to cry foul when other countries refuse to import there unregulated food products in other countries?

But for now, know that a business that sells products from all over the world is forbidden to inform it's customers why the price of their commodity went up due to a deliberate tax by the governement. Because informing the public, is a hostile act.

"This is a hostile and political act by Amazon," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters Tuesday. "Why didn't Amazon do this when the Biden administration hiked inflation to the highest level in 40 years?"

The reported plan by Amazon came as Trump imposed sweeping tariffs on scores of U.S. trading partners, and 145% tariffs on some products from China in a softened stance on some tech and auto products.

But Amazon said the idea was "never approved" and "is not going to happen."

"Teams discuss ideas all the time," Amazon spokesperson Tim Doyle wrote in a statement.

According to Doyle, the Amazon team that runs its ultra-low cost Amazon Haul store allegedly "considered" the idea of listing import charges on "certain products."

In the press briefing, Leavitt cited and held up a copy of a 2021 report that showed Amazon founder Jeff Bezos which purported ties with a so-called "Chinese propaganda arm" that alleged Amazon complied with a Chinese government order preventing customers from rating President Xi Jinping's government-published book.

Leavitt said it was "another reason why Americans should buy American."

What measures did the Biden administration take to "hike inflation"?
Good luck making that argument.
