Did Hillary Deserve To Get Locked Up?

Hillary Clinton used a private, but secure, email server. Some of her work-related messages were transmitted using this email server.

The server was set up for her, by a private company, and was certified a secure, using the best technology of the time.

It was alleged that a small number of confidential messages accidentally sent through server.

The GOP sent the FBI and other government agencies on a years-long expedition, to look for the "missing" confidential messages.

Trump used this incident as a the cornerstone of his first campaign. Every single appearance, as not complete with him screaming "lock her up", echoed by his crowd.

Trump's appearance speech at the GOP convention, to accept the nomination, could not heard, over the crowd's "lock her up" chants.

MAGAs: you could not get enough of "lock her up" for 8+ years on SW.

So, how do you feel about the Sec. of Defense, and the National Security Council, going over confidential war plans, over a chat channel, conducted over a PRIVATE network, not controlled by government infrastructure?

Shouldn't Hegseth be locked up?

Problems come in with who administers the servers.

If it's classified information, do these administers have the same have the same government security ratings as messages being sent?

Bear in mind ALL servers need to be administered, even if rated as secure or not!

This is why all classified messages should be sent on government operated servers. Even those that administered the government servers have government security ratings as their personnel.

The likelihood of Hillary using government security rated employees on her private server actually was pretty high. She was secretary of state. Yet even corporations have government security rated employees for that very reason.

Obviously Signal doesn't have any government security rated employees. And that is why Hegseth should be considered criminally negligent.

He should know that Signal has no government security rated personnel.

His messages are being administered by those that have no government security ratings.

The bottom line is Security is only as good as your personnel!

Signal does not have U.S. government security-rated personnel as it is a private messaging app developed by a non-profit organization. However, it has been used by some government officials for secure communications, despite concerns about its appropriateness for sensitive information.

Another issue has been brought up as to the public information act. None of these messages on signal are accessible to the DOD. This issue was brought up by the DOD itself in 2021, long after the Hilary Clinton incident.

"Signal is not approved by the DoD as an authorized electronic messaging and voice-calling application," the report asserted, adding that "the use of Signal to discuss official DoD information does not comply with Freedom of Information Act requirements and DoD's records retention policies."

@DeWayfarer Signal is an open-source Github "repository", which means anyone in the world can contribute to the source code
github.com/signalapp.

The commercial Signal app (desktop and mobile), was released by Whisper Systems, and the latter was acquired by Twitter 13 years ago. Coincidentally, it is now owned by X, through its full acquisition of Twitter and all its assets.

Which means that, most likely, musk has access to every single conversation that's ever taken place on Signal.

@Northwest I didn't know that, yet that only makes it that much less secure.

Open source of all places. Sheesh! This administration is already having hacking problems because of lack of funding for open source projects.

I'm all for open source. Yet not as a government security source of algorithms.

The objective is to make a mockery of America, derail its world leadership, and make Cry-Baby-trump look like he's the only one who knows what he's doing... which he is failing at. So, Hegseth is playing the role that has been scripted for him and that he was casted to perform.

Trump needs to get locked up. He tried to start a new civil war on Jan 6 2021.
