A letter to the Boomer generation in light of the current economic crisis

Dear Boomers,

I heard your retirement funds have taken a bit of a hit. I would like to offer some advice :

Pull yourself up by your bootstraps; hard work pays off.

Stop buying so much avocado toast and fancy lattes.

Get an entry level job to get your foot in the door.

Walk into some stores and hand them your resume.

Live within your means, cut out the fancy stuff.

Save every penny, put it in a savings account and watch it grow.

Quit wasting money on all those subscription services.

Just walk into your bosses office and ask for a raise.

Pack a lunch, you don't need to eat out.

Put $20 a week in a jar, you'll be surprised how fast it adds up.

Hope this helps.

Yours sincerely,

Each following generation that you've fuсked over.

They are the “I’ve got mine” generation.

@trollslayer Yep and then some people my age started college funds but their kids cars and told them they didn’t have to get jobs in high school. Some quit spanking their kids. Our kids have perfected the time out and trophies, for everybody And now have the most spoiled, entitled grandkids. We crippled our kids.

@trollslayer you are the most impatient generation. President Trump has not even been in office for three months yet and you expect everything to be fixed. It is going to take time and effort and freaking support before things start looking up. Take a chill pill.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@missyann We don't expect him to fix everything, but right now he's breaking it all.
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@missyann “fixing” things isn’t the issue here. Pay more attention.
missyann · 56-60
@LordShadowfire we have a lot of stuff to undo. Sometimes you have to break it take it down to the bare minimum to bring it back up.

I’m not saying it’s gonna be easy because it’s not Everyone will be giving up some extras that I think we’re all used to. But bringing back manufacturing and blue-collar jobs is going to be great. It’s not gonna take years either. Whether you like President Trump or not he’s a get in there get it done and move on kind of guy.

@trollslayer is blaming the boomers for everybody’s problem the issue?

@LordShadowfire or Iran.

@LordShadowfire I have always said that I don’t support 100% the policies of any president. I certainly believe that there is global warming and it scares me. But the big picture for me is do I support most of his policies, and the answer is yes

Tell me how one group of people are entitled to their own title protection. For millions of taxpayer dollars. We have never agreed in this country on everybody’s lifestyle. Never. People in this country are allowed to disapprove and not like a person or a group of people for any or for no reason at all and are allowed to say it. But no one has the right to threaten or commit violence against a person or group. I don’t believe that this is a moral way to act, but it certainly isn’t against the law.

There are gay and lesbians in this country who don’t like letters of the alphabet being added to what they fought for.
Transgender people are entitled to be who they are and I believe that most people feel this way, but transgender women should not be allowed in girls and women’s restrooms, locker rooms or sports no matter how much make up women’s underwear and clothing a person has on if they have a penis, they should not have access to women’s spaces. This is the way it’s always been.

They are certainly entitled to their own spaces no transgender woman should be forced to go into a men’s restroom or locker room Most people do realize that true transgender women don’t want to harm women and girls, but there are some who do They should be entitled to play sports in their own category. Women and girls who don’t mind and I know there are some competing with and against them can do it but no woman should be forced to. Biologically being born a male. They are naturally bigger and stronger. Caitlyn Jenner has said this and I believe that someone who is an Olympic gold medalist as a male certainly know what they’re talking about. Restrooms, locker rooms and sports are the whole issue here not whether they’re accepted as who they believe they are.

I believe I’m just gonna stay in my country and stand up for policies I believe are fair and best for society. I am older now to have seen changes in this country, some for the better, but a lot of things have made our country poorer and certainly weaker. Just like the first time he was elected people are sick and tired of what is going on and how sad. “Wtf “. I might as well try with the outsider he certainly can’t make things worse and he isn’t. He ran for office with these policies that he was unanimously, elected to do
Boomers definitely know that changes, especially in the government sometimes hurt but when you patch it up, it does usually heal. Sadly, this is the first generation to have it worse off than their parents

Nobody is saying that we were perfect, but we did everything right. What generation is? We used what was in front of us, and we voted for people who kept things moving. We definitely weren’t perfect raising our children. Every generation has their problems, and hopefully by the time your children are grown beings will be better for them, but it takes time.

Social Security as we know it now may not be there for you, but there is going to be something and it can be better. Be patient. He hasn’t even been in office for three months yet. We have three years and nine months left for new policies to work

@LordShadowfire I just want to be clear on what you are saying. Are you saying that you would vote for someone who you believed was is morally bankrupt in one of the most important issues to you because they supported one thing you believed in. I don’t think that would be a responsible wrote.

Until now When has the law ever allowed a grown man with a penis demand to use a women’s restroom or locker room When has this ever been a safe request?
This isn’t discriminatory. It is a fact that if a person has a penis, no matter how much make up or women’s clothes, they wears he is still biologically a male. Women have never been expected to accept this, and they should not be expected now to end it truly is not our place to make them feel comfortable

Disabled people have their own Olympics. It’s called Special Olympics. Is it discriminatory to tell someone with one leg that if they want to compete in Olympic games that they have to compete against a person with two legs in a foot race ?
No, this is why they have their own category called the Special Olympics so they can fairly compete in their own category. Someone who is disabled and missing a limb is not another species. They are human beings with special needs Trans people do you deserve to play sports and compete but someone born a biological male has no business competing against biological females. I they are human beings with special needs. I know you understand what I am saying

Call me a bigot all you want if someone asks me to call them, Paul or Paula, I will respectfully do that and will stand and defend anyone against unprovoked personal violent attacks no matter who they are. Personal opinions and words are not violent unless there’s a threat.
No one has the right to tell someone what or who they have to accept and like and people don’t have to justify their reasons

I do agree that they are definitely issues with the affordable care act, and did not present better options and his first time and still hasn’t. No one can see what a different Social Security program looks like yet. Damn DOGE it’s just getting started. Whether you want to admit it or not, he’s found some crazy spending and waste.

You and I see things different. I see a man who has failed numerous times, but still found the way to make $1 billion. If someone gave me $1 million there’s no way I could turn that into a billion. I. See a man who used what the government legally allowed him to use. Hell yeah I want this guy financially running my country

We just disagree on what is wasteful spending and I have a feeling that’s not going to change

No “ I’ve got mine “ was never a slogan, for my generation meant like generations before we believe that if things were good for us that they were going to be better for you. One important thing that I think everybody is overlooking is technology, although has been wonderful in a lot of areas and I’ve saved a lot of lives but it has destroyed millions of jobs that used to be them by people and now we have machines doing the work.

Go to YouTube and listen to the song
“ in the year 2525 “ by
Zagar & Evans and tell me that it’s not eerie to know that these guys had insight.
Can you see how very close we actually are

And yet you voted for a man I consider morally bankrupt in every aspect of his life. He lies. He cheats. He literally just tanked the stock market so he could make a few bucks on his shares. He's got you convinced that it's okay that he's coming for our social security. He's a thief and a grifter, but you voted for him to take away women's rights. Which he will, right after he's done stripping trans people of their rights.

I was about to respond to the rest of your comment, but you lost the last shred of my respect when you compared trans people to mentally disabled people in the Special Olympics.
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@missyann “special Olympics”…LOL!

Really says a lot that you got that term weong.
