Why would any American citizens travel to Russia ?

In light of their disturbing practice of framing American tourists for invented "crimes",and sticking them in labor camps to be used as obvious political bargaining chips,why would any American citizens in their right mind risk going to Russia?This is not just a retorichal question;I really want to know!

@Thinkerbell That is the only polity in the world where Yiddish is an official language. Although the Jewish population these days is something like 4%.
