Did anyone else find it confusing when Bernie Sanders called Donald Trump a religious bigot?

The thing is more religious bigots fit the bare minimum to be considered religious. So Trump does fit the bill.


Chris Hedges who is also an ordained minister along with being a famous war correspondent has pointed out in the past how American Christian nationalists don't actually know what is in their bibles. Most have memorized a handful of politicized passages but run away from anyone who has actually read the book back to front.
