Judge Holds ICE Agent In Contempt For Detaining Illegal Migrant During Trial

ICE agent Brian Sullivan apprehended Wilson Martell-Lebron last week as he was leaving the courthouse. However, a Boston Municipal Court judge ruled on Monday that Sullivan had violated Martell-Lebron’s rights to due process and a fair trial by taking him into custody during the proceedings, the Associated Press reported.

“It’s a case of violating a defendant’s right to present at trial and confront witnesses against him,” Judge Mark Summerville said from the bench. “It couldn’t be more serious.”

Summerville dismissed the charge against Martell-Lebron for making false statements on his driver’s license application—specifically, claiming he wasn’t Martell-Lebron, the report said. Following this action, the judge filed the contempt charge against Sullivan, which may prompt Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden to review the case and decide whether any charges should be pursued.

This NAZI judge is aiding and abetting an illegal alien. Tom Homan should arrest this Nazi.

So, the illegal alien was detained during his trial. I'm assuming the judge's rationale is because the ICE agent has to wait until after the verdict to arrest the illegal? Isn't the reason he falsified his driver's license because he's an illegal alien?

Sounds like a procedural issue where the lines are blurred. Of course that doesn't stop the leftwing narrative. I've noticed every liberal is now a due process expert.

@BizSuitStacy Isn't the trial to determine if he did falsify his license application, and aren't we still innocent until proven guilty?
@dancingtongue That's not the issue, of course. 🙄

Here's the question...Can you arrest someone for a crime while that person is being tried for a different crime?

@BizSuitStacy The judiciary had already ruled only a week or so ago that courts are a sanctuary area, as far as those on trial are concerned.
