The whole thing makes me incredibly sad. Zelenskyy seemed to know that Putin did not want peace. And now Putin is bombing the hell out of them again. Trump thought he could negotiate a deal...and Putin is demonstrating that you can't negotiate with thugs and criminals who just want to take and take.

@MarineBob This is rare but I disagree with you, it would be the start of a new Soviet Union, if Russia were to take The Ukraine.
As an aside this was predicted by 2000AD comic, principally because in the Judge Dredd Universe most of the world had been decimated after (I think) a nuclear war, there were 3 Mega Cities in the US and the Sov Block in the east (other cities appeared occasionally). Once the Soviet Union was disbanded IRL, 2000AD had to produce a story to support their world that had a Sov Block so they wrote the story of a Soviet Union re-emerging.
